I’m well aware of how late I am to the party. Sabyasachi’s 2016 collection has been out for a while, and I’ve been sitting quietly in a corner, mesmerised and, oddly, nostalgic. I truly discovered Sabyasachi only in 2012 – the year of my wedding. I had, of course, heard the name over the years but since fashion and designer names were something “other people” knew about and fan-girled all over, it was left outside the purview of my commoner’s life. In the months leading up to my wedding, though, Sabyasachi went from “Is Sabyasachi a woman or man?” to suddenly a name I uttered only with reverence.
Most celebrities have stylists on their glam team these days, which basically means Best Dressed Celebs lists have a hard time picking just a handful to feature. But it also means more wedding wear inspiration for us, since our desi celebrities love to get into saris, lehengas and anarkalis!
So, yes, while there are plenty of Best Dressed Celebs list out there, I wanted to do a special Wedding Edition. Here is the best Indian wear inspiration we found in the first quarter of 2016. Continue reading “18 Celebrities Gave Us Wedding Wear Inspiration! | Best Dressed This Quarter”

Masaba Gupta got hitched this weekend (here’s the whole story), and a couple of her “slightly” famous friends were in attendance. Who? Oh, you know, just Shahid, Sonam, Alia, Kangana…no biggie, really.
Famous or not, some of the celebrity guests came very well-dressed, and gave us some major wedding fashion inspiration.
THE Vogue Wedding Show kicked off in Delhi this Friday, and if you’re wondering – was it really worth attending? – the answer’s a resounding yes. Of course, it’s a luxury wedding exhibition, so we expected nothing but the best-in-the business designers and jewellery makers at Taj Palace Hotel.
We spent a whole day at Vogue Wedding Show, and covered every inch of it. Not a single stone unturned. Here are the stalls we loved and our favourite pieces from the show! Continue reading “Best of Vogue Wedding Show 2015”

Panic is slowly, but surely, making it’s way into my mind. I have bits and pieces figured out, but not a single look is a 100% done. This is what I’ve figured out till now –
DECIDED! 🙂 All the way from the outfit, the earrings and the exact bangles I’m going to have on.
Footwear is the only part of the look that’s still a big fat questions mark. I need to buy pretty jootis. Continue reading “My Best Friend’s Wedding: 18 Days To Go & I Still Don’t Know What I’m Wearing”
“This is the best wedding exhibition that Delhi has to offer to brides. It’s the only one I showcase my work at.”
– overheard at Bridal Asia 2014
I visited on Monday, when the crowds had thinned and the displays had dwindled. At the entrance, I took out my cell phone and opened the Shopping Guide I’d written a few days earlier. With a guide in one hand, and a media badge in the other – I was ready to explore Bridal Asia and find the best of what it had to offer.
Did my favourite designers have outfits I would love this time around? Who had an entirely new collection? Which ones would disappoint? And which new names would I discover I loved today? Continue reading “I went to Bridal Asia 2014. Here are my notes.”
This week, Delhi is about to witness a flurry of exhibitions. I know of SEVEN events (which I’ve added to the Delhi page of Events on the blog), the first of which is Celebrating Vivaha, that begins today.
While you can always Google and find out a (very) long list of exhibitors for most events, I wanted to write a quick note on the best of what you’ll find at Bridal Continue reading “What To Expect At Bridal Asia”
