I m getting married in jaunary but I m confused about from where should I get my makeup done as I have a particular budget which I cannot exceed. I can spend upto 15000. So can u plz suggest me a gud makeup artist or a saloon.

    2. Hi Gauri, most MUAs will be happy to travel for your wedding But you’ll obviously have to pay for their travel and stay. Chandni Singh does AWESOME work, and she travels too! As far as I know.

  4. hey, I have been going through your blog and its been really helpful from buying trousseau to Lehenga (Yes , I ordered my Lehenga at Omprakash 🙂 . I am now now actly worried about the Pre-bridal beauty packages., which is the best -affordable salon /skin clinic where I can get myself pampered . Since I have also had some acne probs in past and have a sensitive oily skin 😦 , I am reluctant to go to just any salon.
    What do u suggest.

    I live in South Delhi and getting married in Feb’2014 in Chennai.

    1. Hey Bhumika! First of all, visit a dermatologist. I can recommend a good one to you (email me for contact details). Once your issues are taken care of, ask the doc himself which treatments you might need, and which place he recommends. I went to Affinity salon and they were quite good. Btw, congrats! 🙂

  5. Hey, I never thought there would be something as interesting as this blog. I am going to get married sometime in the end of this year and have a couple of queries regarding choosing an affordable yet interesting venue in Delhi/NCR. I live in south Delhi. Kindly let me know in case you have some suggestions here and approximate budget. Also how much does a good candid photographer charge for the functions?

  6. Hi.. I m getting married in two weeks in Delhi. I just landed from Bangalore where I was working. Now after reading ur blog. . I really need ur advice.

    3. Any other tips two weeks before to get glow on skin

    1. Hi Namrata, get yourself a facial done at a salon 1 week before the wedding (but don’t try this unless you’ve had the facial done before, don’t take a chance with new procedures and products!)
      If you’re not going to a parlour at all, use a body scrub once a week, and a face scrub and face mask once a week as well. Moisturise twice a day, apply sunscreen every 3 hours. Coconut water daily. 2 bottles water daily. Ummm…that’s all I can think of right now!

      For makeup, ask Simran Kalra or Tejasvini Chander if they’re available. They can travel to your venue. In case both are booked, drop me a mail please and I can connect you to other MUAs.

    b. again a good place to buy my wedding saree
    c. where do i buy the matching jewellery

    Its been an honor for me to have you as such a rescue-ranger for ppl like us !! I work for IAF, 5 days in a week goes in uniform without any make-up. so you can very well imagine what would be the status of my awareness regarding any discussion here BUT I am getting engaged in April 14 and definitely want to look all “feminine” and beautiful that day. I am a delhi-ite and being away from beauty fashion and make up completely blows me off !! 😦 :(.. I would be highly obliged if you just spare your ten minutes for me and guide me through things …I would really appreciate it 🙂

    I am getting married on 6th June. The venue booked is in West delhi (Moti Nagar to be precise). Since, I am not originally from Delhi, a friend of mine told me there are many parlour options on club road Punjabi Bagh. I visited Lakme and Ambika Pillai there. I saw the trial makeup of a senior artist in Ambika’s salon and did not like it much. In Lakme I liked the photographs of the air brush make-up by junior as well as senior artists.

    Friends I am really confused, please give me some more options in West Delhi and guidance as to which type of make-up is the best
