I thought the perfect bridal entry song was already out, and I knew exactly what to recommend to girlfriends getting married. But yesterday, The Wedding Filmer released such a beautiful new song, and after listening to it on repeat 25 ok 50 times in 24 hours like an obsessed person driving my husband crazy with it, I realised – it’s time for an update to the list! Yes, it’s a whole LIST of recommendations now. Which is great for brides getting married this year, or the next, or any time after today – basically. They don’t realise how lucky they are! I got married just 2.5 years ago, and all I had was ONE option.
Here are all my favourite bridal entry songs, and I promise to keep updating this list every time I unearth a new gem –
#1 Chal Le Chal by Devangi Chopra
This is the brand new song released by The Wedding Filmer just yesterday! The singer, Devangi Chopra, is FIFTEEN years old. Incredible, right? And her angelic voice lends such a heavenly quality to the tune. Such a good option for when you enter the wedding venue as a bride. Imagine entering to cello and guitar strings strumming! The song is soft, the cello hauntingly beautiful, and the lyrics make you melt. Sang le chal…
Awwww!!! ❤
Psst…just in case you’re wondering, that beautiful lehenga Devangi is wearing is designed by Arpita Mehta – the go to designer for mirror work on pretty ensembles for young girls.
#2 Din Shagna Da by Jasleen Royal
Jasleen’s angelic voice breathes fresh air into this old favourite. My husband adores this version. There’s another one Jasleen had sung before she tied up with The Wedding Story – it’s minus the alaap, and you can listen to it here.
#3 Din Shagna Da by Roona Rizvi
This was another version created by The Wedding Filmer. In fact, they were one of the first ones to come out with an alternate version of this over-used yet beautiful song. I still remember the goosebumps I felt when I first heard this. And the elated emotions. I was so happy that finally brides would no longer have to come out to the same old, so very old, so very over-played version of Din Shagna Da. And what a relief to the wedding guests too! Something new to hear 🙂 I had a little party in my head that day.
#4 Punjab by Karunesh
This has been a favourite song of mine for a long, long time. It came on the radio one day while I was driving to work, a few months before my wedding, and it just clicked – I wanted this to play on my big day! But if you’ve seen this earlier post, you know I finally went for Din Shagna Da (the traditional version) because that’s what my mom loved. However, one of you can still use it on your wedding day! Of course, it’s an old song. But it’s a different tune to enter to.
#5 Latika’s Theme by AR Rahman
From the movie – Slumdog Millionaire. My husband has made me listen to this song a million times, and yet – it struck as a great bridal entry song only when I saw it on Mehak’s (of Peaches & Blush) list! With no words, the song is just a feeling. And what a feeling Rahman’s tunes can make you feel!
Which song did you enter to on your big day?

I grew up fantasizing with my friends about what song we would walk down the aisle to :p
I walked on “saanson ne bandhi” from Dabanng 2. I’m a huge Salman fan and had to somehow incorporate him into my wedding lol.
When my wedding videos came out, the clip was edited with Latikas Theme on while my dad walked me to the mandap and it looks and sounds perfect 🙂
