There was one big name missing from fashion week last month – Anita Dongre.
Lakme Fashion Week came and went, as did Wills India Fashion Week’s re-named avtaar – Amazon India Fashion Week. I did multiple “best of” posts for both, and was sure that Anita Dongre would make it to the Top Picks. But not a sniff of a spring-summer or autumn-winter collection by the designer, at either fashion week. Where is she?
Brides all over the globe have been waiting for what Anita Dongre has in store for us in 2015. Is there anything new in the works?
Say hello to the fabulous new collection by Anita Dongre for the Bride of Summer 2015. Fresh pastels, light blues and her signature gota patti work – she continues to delight her core fan base (that includes yours truly!) I don’t want to talk too much in this post, because the pictures speak more than enough for themselves. Just beauty after beauty, styled right with pieces from her Pink City jewellery collection.
Every ensemble is perfect for a bride, for different wedding events – from an Engagement gown to a Sangeet outfit, and of course: wedding lehengas – it’s all in here!

Sophisticated blouses with a touch of embroidery caught my eye, along with some regal jewellery.
Don’t you also love how the images have been captured so beautifully? Especially the ones taken at the DLF Emporio store. Recognised the walls and glass windows because we did a photo shoot in that very store for a Trousseau Destination post! If you want to see even more pictures of Anita Dongre outfits, you should definitely check out the previous posts we’ve done on her collections.
Oh my!!! I am loving her designs. I want to get married again so I can wear these 🙂
Looking towards my sister to get hitched soon, so I can officially splurge and wear these 😀

Nothing very new as such.
This kind of work ,even more beautiful and intricate can be seen anytime on any ethnic or popular stores in jaipur and way cheaper.

Do share the names of these stores, Saumya! Would love to visit them! I’ve never really shopped at jaipur and my experience with gota patti is limited to what Anita Dongre and a few other high end designers create.

There are many stores . Pratap sons, Vasansi , Gulabchand , Sattva , Roop Laxmi, Nikhar, Zari ,Aari tari and many more.
These are some top line stores , where one can purchase from as low as some tens of thousands to as high as 2-3 lakhs.
But if budget is low then go to Johri Bazaar . It is a market in Jaipur., where all the job work for gotta patti is done. And there are many stores along the street where lehangas can be bought for cheap.
I bought my wedding lahanga from Aari tari . It is combination work of gotta patti, zari, stones etc.
I hope this helps.
