  1. Hi Shinjini,

I’m a “Bride-to-be”, getting married April next year, trying to understand whats best for me. I have never used any Clinique product, but then I have hardly ever used anything much..lol.

On reading through your blog, this clinique service sounded like a good idea, where some experts will tell me what to do. But I was just wondering if this will fit my budget, and so I just wanted to know what all does this Clinique bridal box includes, and will this fulfill all my needs as a newly wed? I definitely do not want to end up having to buy all my cosmetics apart from this.

Hoping you will help me here 🙂

    1. Hi Nidhi! First of all, congratulations! 🙂
And about the Clinique service – you will get products worth INR 15,000 when you go for this. Essentially, the pretty box and makeup lesson is complimentary, so it’s a really great deal.
However, whether you will need more products other than this totally depends on you. If you’re a minimalist when it comes to makeup, this will suffice. You should be able to manage a Chubby Stick (tinted lip balm), foundation, blush, mascara, eyeshadow and primer – which is your basic makeup kit. Clinique is a luxury beauty brand (products are priced between 1500 to 3600 on an average), and if you want a very large number of products for your skin care (face wash, toner, moisturiser, face pack) and makeup needs (multiple lipsticks/eyeshadows/nail paints/blushes) then of course you might want to go for balancing between luxury brands such as Clinique and drug store brands.

  2. I have tried the tip no. 7 multiple times. Although I use a baby talcum powder instead of the loose powder and it works in an equally good manner

  3. Another tip I received long back and find useful is to start with the eyes (after applying the base) then blush and last lips. Helps in unwanted spill over of different cosmetics across the face 😊
