After an unintentional long, relaxing Karva Chauth + anniversary + Diwali break, I’m back to blogging re-charged and refreshed! Let’s get right back to all the important, long pending posts. I’ve SO much to share, and I’m charging head first into all the backlog starting this very minute!
First up – I wrote a post on IndianRoots about pre-bridal skin care. I wish I had a friend who had guided me through the confusing maze of the excessive information on skin care needs for a bride. Everyone has their own views on what works and what doesn’t. But after a year of experience with skin care and makeup (bridal blogger privileges of meeting up with some experts in the field!), I’ve managed to come up with a routine that cuts across all the nonsense and gives you a basic, practical plan you can follow. It comes from a novice, so there’s nothing complicated, nothing you can’t easily comprehend and apply in your life starting today. Go ahead, have a look!
“Your wedding date is set. You just paid the deposit at the venue. What’s the next big thing on your wedding to-do list? No, it’s not the photographer or the makeup artist. It’s your skin care plan!
You should have a basic skin care routine in place as soon as the date is set, but for all practical purposes you should start taking serious care of your skin 3 to 6 months before your big day.” Read the rest of the post here…
What are your tips on pre-bridal skin care? What’s worked for you?
Edit: IndianRoots has since shut down, so I’ve updated the link here to a refreshed version I wrote for UrbanClap Weddings.
