  2. TDB, I fell in love with VWS-it was a spectacular event! What a FEEL to meet the designers personally and have their opinion on YOUR bridal lehenga!! 🙂 (I’m on cloud nine!)

Sharing my view on Bridal wear designers-

Sabya, I must agree with you, is the GOD of bridal wear. Such a down-to-earth person with the most beautiful and wearable collection..The workmanship was very intricate and extremely beautiful. Even the latkans were individually crafted as per lehenga’s design-never seen it before! Sabya was kind enough to hear my dream-wedding-lehenga and suggest accordingly and was even more kind to agree for a click with me! Yeye! 🙂

Anamika Khanna, OMG-busy lady! The collection was nice and subtle but I think was over-priced.. Sabya’s lehengas were the most cost-effective!

Suneet Varma, a gem-of-a-person! Very friendly, very genuine, very sweet to talk- a perfect gentleman! I agree with you TDB, the red anarkali with aari work was simply outstanding-I’m in love with it too! There was another piece that I liked, it was a white sari with a border of mirror-work plus haute pink and orange colored block design. And it’s blouse is to die-for…simply outta this world! 🙂

A tip for brides-to-be from Suneet Varma-for girls who are short in height, don’t go for strong contrasting colors in your lehenga-it will make you look shorter, rather opt for colors who belong to the same family! Thanks,SV!

Pallavi Jaikishan, toooooo much bling. Not my type of choice!

Tarun Tahiliani, very decent person. Loved the way he,along with his team took the efforts to show all their panels to us and suggested the possible mix & match. His design book is absolutely lovely! Even the drawings have swaroski on them 🙂 Probably the only store which had good collection for the grooms-nice sherwanis in ivory and beige with very decent kashmiri and aari embroidery on them!

Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla, the deep-royal blue saree (with a hint of red border) and big motifs in zardosi was absolutely stunning. Its blouse was prettier than the saree 😉 Sandeep Khosla was very sweet and humble to speak with. He first asked my preferences and dream-lehenga before showing his collection. Such a sweet guy, he even asked if I’ll have to touch everyone’s feet at the wedding so that the dupatta can be made accordingly! 🙂

And about Janavi, Puneet’s idea of pashmina shawls with embroidery to match your saree is very creative! Lovely collection with lovely colors. Puneet even shared that these shawls can be customized and the price can be brought down to INR 16,000 without hampering the look of the shawl-great, isn’t it!

All-in-all, had a lovely time at VWS, and its a must-go for every bride! 🙂
